Warranty
At MechMaxx, we strive to make the warranty claim process as easy as possible.
Coverage Periods
- Engine Warranty — VANGUARD brand: 3 years from date of shipment.
- Engine Warranty — KOHLER brand: 3 years from date of shipment.
- Engine Warranty — Other brands: 1 or 2 years from date of shipment, depending on the model.
- All Other Products: 1 year from date of shipment, unless otherwise noted, against defects in materials and workmanship under ordinary residential use.
- Commercial use: limited to 30 days unless otherwise specified.
What Is Covered MechMaxx expressly warrants to the original purchaser that, for the applicable Limited Warranty Period from the date of shipment, the covered product will be reasonably free of material defects in materials and workmanship when properly handled, installed, used, stored, and maintained. At our discretion, we may repair the product, provide replacement parts, replace the product, issue a one-time discount, or issue a refund.
What Is Not Covered
- Damage due to misuse, mishandling, or abuse.
- Improper installation, maintenance, or storage.
- Normal wear and tear, including blades, teeth, shanks, cutting edges, PTO shafts, and hoses (unless clearly defective).
- Expendable parts such as nuts, bolts, pins, springs, wiring, switch components, hydraulic hoses and fittings, cutting teeth, cutting chains, cutting blades, throttles, belts, and tires.
- Consequential or incidental damages, including damage to persons or property.
- Damage from external factors such as weather, extreme heat exposure, or improper storage.
- Cosmetic issues.
- Products purchased from vendors other than MechMaxx.
- Damage from unauthorized modification of the product.
- Commercial use beyond the limited commercial coverage window.
Machine and Engine Repairs During the warranty period, machine repairs must be performed by an authorized MechMaxx service center. You may send a product requiring repair to a designated location after first contacting us. If you choose to repair the product yourself, no compensation will be provided for labor. Machine warranty covers parts only — labor is not included.
How to File a Warranty Claim
- Contact us during business hours before returning any product.
- Submit clear photos and/or videos of the issue and a condition description to info@mechmax.us.
- Complete the claim form with all required photos/videos. Claims without media cannot be processed.
- Our claims team will contact you within two business days with a proposed solution.
- If a return is authorized, obtain a Return Authorization (RA) before shipping anything back.
Shipping Under Warranty MechMaxx covers standard LTL freight and standard ground shipping for warranty parts/attachments sent from our warehouse to the customer. Next Day Air and other special freight services are not covered but may be arranged by the customer at their own expense. The defective product must be located within the Continental 48 states.
General Conditions
- Warranty is non-transferable and applies only to the original purchaser.
- Products must be stored, handled, installed, used, and maintained per MechMaxx instructions.
- Customers are responsible for replacing normally worn parts.
